    what collectors are saying
“There’s something haunting about the expression, like it knows the pain you carry. This isn’t just art—it’s a mirror of emotion. I’ve placed it by my writing desk, and every glance reminds me to sit with my own quiet truths.”
    — Jules R., Toronto
    • What is a “Canvas Print 11"x14" – 3/4" depth painted black edge”?
This is the smaller version of your canvas print option, with the same black-painted edges and stretched canvas look as the 16"x20" version.
    • What is a “16"x20" Black Framed Print – White Mat Border”?
This option includes the artwork printed on fine art paper, professionally framed in a black frame with a white mat border. The mat creates visual separation between the image and frame, offering a more traditional, elegant presentation—ready to hang upon arrival.
    • What’s the difference between an original and a giclée print?
An original painting is a one-of-a-kind, hand-painted artwork by Thomas Tugnette, made with oil on canvas, panel, or wood. A giclée print is a high-quality reproduction of an original painting, made using archival inks and papers to preserve color and detail.
    • What does “16"x20" Float Mount Invisible Glass (Museum Grade)” mean?
This premium option features the artwork mounted to appear as if it's floating within the frame. It’s protected by invisible, museum-grade glass, which minimizes glare and reflections while offering superior UV protection. Ideal for collectors seeking a refined, archival-quality display.
    • Are your prints framed?
Prints are shipped unframed unless otherwise stated. This allows you to choose a frame that suits your style and space.
    • What does “Matte Paper Smooth (Image to edge)” mean?
This refers to a giclée print on smooth, archival matte paper with the artwork printed edge-to-edge—meaning there’s no white border. It offers a modern look and is ideal for custom framing. Available sizes include: 8"x10" 11"x14" 16"x20"
    • What is a “Canvas Print 16"x20" – 3/4" depth painted black edge”?
This is a high-quality reproduction of the original artwork printed directly onto canvas. It is stretched on a 3/4" deep wooden frame with the outer edges hand-painted black, giving it a clean, gallery-ready finish that can be hung with or without a frame.
    • Are prints signed or numbered?
My prints come with a certificate of authenticity with my signature and the artwork is numbered on here as well. I am not able to physically sign the prints at this time as they are printed.
    • What paper do you use for your giclée prints?
Giclée prints are printed on heavyweight, acid-free fine art paper for a museum-quality feel with rich, long-lasting color.
    • Do you offer certificates of authenticity?
Yes, all original works come with a signed Certificate of Authenticity.
    • What materials are used in Thomas Tugnette's paintings?
Thomas Tugnette primarily uses high-quality oil paints on canvas for his paintings. Each piece is crafted with the "fat over lean" rule to prevent cracking in the long term. Each painting is varnished with a product called Gamvar after the painting is touch dry. After about 6-8months your painting will need to be sealed with a final picture varnish.
    • How can I commission a custom painting from Thomas Tugnette?
